Community Input Needed: Schulte Road Warehouse Environmental Report

March 25, 2025

The City of Tracy has released a Recirculated Draft Environmental Impact Report (RDEIR) for the proposed Schulte Road Warehouse project, and community feedback is encouraged. The project would develop a 217,466 square foot warehouse – including office space – on approximately 21.92 acres at the southeast corner of West Schulte Road and Hansen Road. The site is currently agricultural land within the Tracy Sphere of Influence and would be annexed into the city.

The RDEIR outlines several potentially significant and unavoidable impacts, including to air quality, greenhouse gas emissions, aesthetics, transportation, and energy usage. These concerns were identified following public feedback during a prior comment period in 2024. In response, the city revised its analysis and added new sections addressing energy impacts and climate change.

Residents now have a second opportunity to review and comment on these critical updates. The 45-day public comment period runs from March 21, 2025 through May 5, 2025. Comments must be submitted in writing by 5:00 p.m. on May 5 to Scott Claar at the City of Tracy, either by mail (333 Civic Center Plaza, Tracy, CA 95376) or email (Scott.Claar@cityoftracy.org).

The full RDEIR is available at the City of Tracy Planning Division or online at:
