Patrick Vargas Placed on Administrative Leave
South San Joaquin County Fire Authority Division Chief Patrick Vargas has officially been placed on administrative leave. Sources indicate that Vargas was placed on leave following an internal investigation that Transparent Tracy reported on back in April. Read more about that here. There are rumors abound as to why Tracy City Council Member Veronica Vargas’ husband was placed on leave but, until the Fire Authority makes a public statement about the matter, we will not speculate as to the decision behind the sordid affair. Nevertheless, it’s not looking good for Vargas.
Of course, this isn’t the first time Patrick Vargas has been on the hot seat with Tracy Fire. He was given a 1995 felony conviction for wire fraud of $138,000 from the Tracy Fire Department. That’s right, he stole money from his own department who, in one of the most corrupt and confusing decisions by then Tracy Fire Chief Chris Bosch, kept Vargas employed during his four-month stint in prison. You can read more about this here.
The breaking news of Vargas placed on administrative leave follows Veronica Vargas giving her husband a romantic message at the last city council meeting. See below -

On the upside for the Vargas’, they can now spend several days together celebrating their anniversary, as there is no rush for Patrick to get back to work!
