Souza’s Much Deserved Honor

It was nice to read about Mike Souza being awarded the Tracy Chamber of Commerce’s Citizen of the Year (article here). His acknowledgement by the Chamber is much deserved. As the article highlights, Souza is much more than just a local developer. He is active with charity causes and local organizations that help make our community as great as it is. It helps that he’s from Tracy, and his story is a goal for our city’s future. Mike went away to college and came back to work and raise a family. Tracy needs more job opportunities for smart people like Mike to come back and thrive. For instance, he successfully negotiated the Tracy Hills project through the always challenging Tracy process. Souza is working to make Tracy a better place. Congratulations to Mike and also to Param Gill, who was also awarded Citizen of the Year.
